However, this barely scratches the surface of its great value in the Mexican economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Industrial parks in Mexico<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Companies from the United States started opening facilities in Mexico in the late 1960s, and this trend has persisted with <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/advance-realestate.com.amatedigital.mx\/adblog\/en\/key-points-of-the-mexicos-manufacturing-industry\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/advance-realestate.com.amatedigital.mx\/adblog\/en\/key-points-of-the-mexicos-manufacturing-industry\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#216baf\" class=\"has-inline-color\">the Manufacturing<\/mark><\/strong><\/a>, Maquiladora, and Export Service Industry Program (IMMEX)<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, the Mexican Association of Industrial Parks (AMPIP<sup>1<\/sup>) reported that more than 500 industrial parks\u2014extensive facilities\u2014have officially opened their doors in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Mexico, these industrial parks are valuable since:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><span>Many offer nearly 3 million new jobs.<\/span><\/li><li><span>3,500 global companies have established their presence.<\/span><\/li><li><span>AMPIP\u2019s New Generation of Smart and Sustainable Industrial Parks report<sup>2<\/sup> showed that the manufacturing and logistic industry<strong> <\/strong>had registered 53.4% of <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/advance-realestate.com.amatedigital.mx\/adblog\/en\/industrial-spaces-and-foreign-investment-in-mexico\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/advance-realestate.com.amatedigital.mx\/adblog\/en\/industrial-spaces-and-foreign-investment-in-mexico\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#216baf\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Foreign Direct Investment (FDI)<\/mark><\/strong><\/a>.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s worth noting that settling in industrial parks in Mexico is ideal for manufacturing companies, due to their strategic proximity to the United States, high-quality infrastructure and facilities, as well as skilled labor and managerial experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Industrial parks\u2019 value for the manufacturing industry<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently, the manufacturing industry in Mexico has gained impressive traction, especially in the automotive and aerospace sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This has been achieved through Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers creating clusters and a competitive environment among the different companies that had settled in industrial parks from:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Northern Corridor<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This area includes the states of Coahuila, Tamaulipas, Sinaloa, Durango, Chihuahua, Zacatecas, and Nuevo Leon. It promotes interconnection between border cities such as Ciudad Ju\u00e1rez, the Mazatl\u00e1n, and Topolobampo ports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, as stated by AMPIP, Nuevo Le\u00f3n stands out for having 64 industrial parks and getting almost 12% of the country\u2019s FDI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Northern corridor relevance is such that, according to Forbes<sup>2<\/sup>, it accounts for 21% of the domestic GDP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a><strong>El Bajio Corridor<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Some states located in <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/advance-realestate.com.amatedigital.mx\/adblog\/en\/the-growth-of-the-automotive-industry-in-the-bajio-region\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/advance-realestate.com.amatedigital.mx\/adblog\/en\/the-growth-of-the-automotive-industry-in-the-bajio-region\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#216baf\" class=\"has-inline-color\">the Bajio region<\/mark><\/strong><\/a><\/span> are Guanajuato, Queretaro, Aguascalientes, Zacatecas, San Luis Potosi, and Jalisco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jalisco is the best known in this corridor with 37,141 facilities from the manufacturing sectors, accounting for over 6% of domestic FDI.
