The industrialized city concept was born during the Industrial Revolution, referring to the transformation of urban centers into high production areas. To date, we call large cities the ones where most of the economic production is concentrated in factories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monterrey<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It creates around 2.5 million jobs nationwide\u00a0Known as the country\u2019s industrial capital, 23% of its GDP1<\/sup>\u00a0comes from industrial activities and 12% from manufacturing activities. Among its specialty sectors, we find logistics, the automotive<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> and the retail industries, as well as real estate since it offers quality assets not subject to market offer.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to SOLILI, in May 2021, the gross demand of the Monterrey metropolitan area was 56 thousand square meters.2<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mexico City<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Activity is concentrated in the electrical, automotive, aerospace, logistics, electronics, e-commerce, and high technology sectors. In January 2021, the so-called CTT zone (Cuautitlan, Tultitlan, and Tepotzotlan), located in the outskirts of Mexico City, recorded a demand for industrial space that is equivalent to 50 thousand square meters.3<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Queretaro<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most significant industrial activities are automotive and aerospace manufacturing,<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> transportation, and computer and food equipment manufacturing. From January to October 2019, production from the manufacturing industry reached a value of\u00a0295,723.6 million pesos,4<\/sup> which was a 3.59% increase over the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also in 2019, 37 national and foreign investment projects were completed, creating an economic benefit of 7,353 million pesos and thousands of highly specialized jobs. In addition to the above, in the same year, Queretaro became the main recipient of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the Bajio, raising more than 887 million dollars4<\/sup> for new investments and reinvestment in companies with current operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guanajuato<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is a national benchmark in the automotive manufacturing industry. It has an industrial park network comprising 29 complexes5<\/sup> in a 3,478 hectares area, which accounts for an investment of 914 million dollars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the automotive industry, the state has eight other strategic clusters in the fashion, chemical production, food, research services, tourism, and logistics sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guadalajara<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the state of Jalisco, there are multiple businesses in logistics services, advanced manufacturing, automotive, storage, and information technology services. In fact, in the first three months of 2021, the state was among the country’s first markets regarding industrial space usage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So far this year, 25 industrial projects closed, involving 219,145 square meters,6<\/sup> which has meant significant economic spillover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
